ENCS is a diverse and dynamic church with people of all ages and backgrounds. Whoever you are and whatever your needs, we aim to be a church family that will accept and encourage you to become the person God created you to be.
Through our energetic praise and worship and relevant presentations of the gospel, we're confident you'll walk away from ENCS feeling encouraged and blessed. We desire to see you growing in your relationship with God and fulfilling your God-given purpose in life.
ENCS is a life-giving, Bible-centered, Spirit-filled church. We want everyone who walks through our doors to be empowered to impact the world for Christ. As such, we are a community of people committed to Encountering God, Authentic Relationships, Helping People Follow Jesus, and living Kingdom-Focused lives.
Encountering God
Because God is the very reason why we exist, and the most wonderful Being we could ever know, we long for every person to experience a growing relationship with Him. We can encounter Him through worship, prayer, His Word (the Bible), preaching, communion, and many other means. We are committed to pursuing Him in our individual lives and together as a community.
Authentic Relationships
Because relationships are both the ends and means of God's purposes on the earth, we value genuine relationships based on God's love. We long for every person to enjoy the fulfillment and security that comes from being loved and accepted right where they are. So we encourage participation in gatherings like our discussion groups and Sunday services, as well as other informal gatherings where people can "do life" together, and cultivate meaningful relationships.
Helping People Follow Jesus
Life is a journey, not a destination. You and I were made for a dynamic relationship with God which only comes through following His Son, Jesus Christ. We are a community of Followers of Jesus who long to help others respond to Jesus' call of "Follow Me," and together with them, to be on the journey as fully-developing followers of Christ.
Kingdom-Focused Lives
Jesus taught us to pray, "Your [God's] will be done," not, "my will be done." We long to be a community of individuals who orient our lives around what is most important: serving those in need, making wrong things right, using our gifts and talents for the good of others, and in doing so, seeing local and global transformation take place. Jesus said to "go make disciples..."; so whether it is walking across the room, or flying across the globe, we want to be on mission with God, making the world a better place by meeting people's needs: spiritually, relationally, materially, holistically.
