What's up, I'm Timm McLagan, pastor of our church's college and community ministries in the church. I am passionate about seeing people connect to God, to others, and their communities in genuine relationships. I oversee our college, community, and youth small groups called Discussion Groups and act as a coach to their leaders.
BASIC STUFF
My wife Sandra and I have a little girl named Kalea (/kuh-lay-uh/) who has been such an incredible gift and a little Bichon-Havanese puppy, Roxy, who looks like a stuffed animal when she keeps still. We've called Seattle home for over six years (ten for Sandra) and absolutely love this incredible city!
We love to see people meet God who have never really known Him personally and encounter Him in a life-changing way. And because it is dear to God's heart, we are also passionate about seeing differing cultures and ethnicities unite in the pursuit of knowing God, impacting their communities with positive change, and humbly learning and valuing this diversity.
INTERESTS AND FAVORITES
- Places: Kailua Beach back home in Hawaii. Quest Field cheering the Hawks onto a victory!
- What's on your iPod: Jimi Hendrix, Alicia Keys, Snow Patrol, Ohmega Watts, U2, Mat Kearney
- Books: The Bible is my all-time favorite... but The Chronicles of Narnia, Martin Luther King's auto-biography, and the Lord of the Rings trilogy pretty much rock as well!
- What do you TiVo: Seahawk football, The Office, Lost, Whose Line Is It Anyway reruns
- Sports Team: Seahawks, Mariners, Oregon State Beavers, Huskies (when they're not playing OSU) and the Sonics (let's pray they stay!)
- Movies: Braveheart, So I Married An Axe Murderer, The Matrix, Coming to America, and The Lord of the Rings
- Hobbies: Songwriting, sports, working out, concerts, and playing Madden football.
- Dislikes: Cucumbers & Mayonnaise
- Odd Facts: I lived in Indonesia for three years when I was growing up.
- Book of the Bible: Psalms
