Lead Pastor

My name is Perry and I’m the lead pastor at ENCS.

I love Jesus because he changed my life at 14 years of age and I have been following Him ever since. (It’s a great story, I would have to tell you sometime.) In May 2009, my wife and I along our 4 kids, moved from Scotland to Seattle to join this incredible church as lead pastor.

BASIC STUFF

My wife, Danielle, and I have been married since 1997. We have 4 children, Evan, Justin, Elise, and Jonathan. We met at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, were involved with campus ministry and youth ministry together at our local church, King’s Park International in Durham, NC. After being friends for 3 years, we ran a 5 k together and fell in love.

Good news is that we are still in love and keeping the love alive.

We are thrilled to be in Seattle–what a beautiful city and consider it to be an weather/climate upgrade from the UK. We love the church of Jesus and thank God for the people in ENCS.

EDUCATION: UNC-Chapel Hill — B.A. Education- Social Studies/Science. Reformed Theological Seminary- M.A. Theological Studies

INTERESTS AND FAVORITES

• Places: Seattle and the Northwest- stunningly beautiful! I also like NC beaches, Hawaii, and any place warm!
• What’s on your iPod: U2, Black Eyed Peas, Celtic Worship, Sting, Newsboys, Preaching- Tim Keller, Martin Lloyd Jones.
• Books: Abide in Christ by Andrew Murray- changed my life. Grace Works by Dudley Hall, the Discipline of Grace by Jerry Bridges, and Intimacy with God by Joy Dawson.
• Sports Team: It would have to be the Sounders, Seahawks, and any local team.
• Movies: Braveheart, Gladiator, Star Wars- all of them, Matrix 1, anything by Bill Murray- makes me laugh.
• Hobbies: I love to play soccer and sports period. I enjoy dating my wife, playing with my kids, hanging with our staff and our leaders, and laughing as much as possible.
• Dislikes: Dishonesty
• Odd Facts: I have been run over by a Three Wheel ATV- which is outlawed. I have also been a vegan and vegetarian before.
